The museum, located in Norman, was in need of restoration work of missing wood pieces that were original to the house. They contacted COWA member Bill Hull for his expertise and suggestions on making the missing pieces. With Bill’s guidance, club members turned the spindles and helped on other parts of the project. Upon completion, which was delayed by COVID, it was sent to the finisher and finally installed the end of April 2023. This is the first of three pieces that were original to the house. The other two are in the planning stage and we will be asking club members for their help when work begins. This has put the turning club name in front of the Norman community and boosted the distinction of the club’s excellent work.
